What are people saying about The Dance?
“In a moment of silence and reflection, we have so many choices.
This beautiful, touching film creates such moments. In some way,
everyone can relate to and learn from one or more of the various
issues these three couples so convincingly and poignantly portray.
“
Dr.
Stephen R. Covey, author, The 7 Habits of Highly
Effective People, and The 8th Habit: From Effectiveness to Greatness
"The Dance is an awesome date movie! A great romantic comedy."
Jimmy
Chunga -- Actor/Comedian/Top Radio Show Host
"The Dance is without question the most intelligently
written and powerfully acted film to emerge from the genre of Mormon
Cinema. It affirms once again that it is ultimately character and
story that touches the heart of the audience."
Kieth Merrill is an Academy Award winner and two-time
Oscar nominee. He has spent a lifetime as a moviemaker committed
to values and virtues in film. His movies have been seen by
hundreds of millions of people in many countries. They have
produced revenue approaching one billion dollars. He is the

"This romantic comedy is not giddy or silly. It takes a step
or two up as it allows you to meet and listen to the heart-felt
conversations and emotions of the characters. The Dance,
allows you to see some nice, grown-up acting from some of these
local and recognizable stars. It is well worth the ticket price
you'll pay to see it."
Genelle Pugmire, www.deseretnews.com,

"A beautiful cinematic reminder of the great truth that while
love is eternal it is not easy. It is built, like celestial glory,
line up line, precept on precept, and grows by our efforts into
something precious and unending. At every age and every stage, love
takes sacrifice and pays priceless dividends. The Dance is an excursion
into joy, as much encouragement as entertainment, a movie that leaves
you a better person, a reminder that eternal love requires daily
effort."
Bob Lonsberry -- A newsman for 20 years, he has won in
excess of 80 journalism and broadcasting awards, including top
Associated Press commentary awards in newspaper, radio and television
-- the only person ever to do so.
"There are very few movies being made today that are worth
the $8.00 admission price. This one is."
Dana Robinson -- Host of Spotlight
“The Dance is all that we could hope for in a modern
romance; a great cast of three couples whose acting is faultless,
an unusually intelligent script and wonderfully romantic cinematography;
It looks like the best of 35mm camerawork though was in fact shot
on HD varicam. Having been a CINE judge for many years, I am sometimes
a bit jaded in my reaction to low budget films, but this one was
magnificent, the kind of romance Irving Thalberg might have made
at MGM, were he and MGM alive today. The three couples were very
much men and women of the 21st century with 21st century problems,
but there was a grace and joy in their reactions to each other that
swept me back to golden age of classical Hollywood. How refreshing
to hear civilized conversation without vulgarity; the art of film
can be subtle and the Dance is wonderfully understated in its intensity.”
Andrew Quicke, Professor of Cinema-Television at Regent
University, where the Redemptive Film Festival was held.
